The title
of the article is “A world of wonder”.
The article was published on the site euronews on 2 April, 2013. The article is
about WonderCon, a costume festival. It is an annual San Francisco based comic
book, sci-fi and motion picture convention.
According to
the reporter, fans of different movies, especially horrors and fantasy, are
eager to visit this event. Among the most popular clips is a glimpse of “The
Mortal Instruments: City of Bones”, the first screen adaptation of a massively
popular book series by author Cassandra Clare. It has been billed as the next
“Twilight” but the movie stars are understandably keen to play down any
comparisons.
In the
article we see Actress Lily Collins’s opinion about these films. She thinks
that they cannot be compared as they are entirely different and have totally
different alternate universes.
Further the
author reports about other film, “Evil Dead”. It is a 1981 low-budget horror
movie that became a cult hit and launched director Sam Raimi’s career has been
rebooted. Then the author gives the plot of the film and actress Jane Levy’s
impressions about acting in it. We also get to know that “Evil Dead” is set for
staggered worldwide release across cinemas this week.
According
to the text, the next film, which was shown, is “Ghost hunters”. It is the latest
scary movie from “Saw” and “Insidious” director James Wan aims for some
real-life grounding. Director James Wan states that the film is basically a
story based on Ed and Lorraine Warren and one supernatural case that they
investigated.
Well, I’d
like to visit WonderCon, though I don’t watch horror films, I’d just enjoy well-made
costumes and friendly atmosphere. What about new horrors I don’t think that I will
watch them as it is not my favourite genre at all.
